Red face Why Updates have been slow lately?

Let me get few things cleared....

By now, many old GI members have noticed some delays in Group Buys updates compared to how they used to get them in the past, beside other changes made recently to the way we conduct updates to the GBs.
    1. Why Updates have been slow lately?
    2. Why we've been able to get more interested members in the recent GBs than ever before? (we could easily reach 60 - 100 interested members in most GBs)

Well, both questions are kinda connected.

We have simply taken longer periods to release updates due to us working on tagging each member's GB materials.

    Why?
Because we need to get rid of all leakers from this community.

We've also decided to share their details on a topic in this forum to make a nice profile for them if someone ever decide to search for their names. (Their names, payment details and everything that was involved in leaking and sharing our GBs.)

You also might have noticed some leaks going out from Group Insiders, but they've never been completed by the leaker. (this gives you a hint how often we catch anyone who leaks any GB).

Let me remind everyone here why we do GBs...
These GBs are meant to help people who can't afford buying them alone. It's not meant to screw the authors.

Since we've started tagging GBs, we've found many leakers and we could successfully stop them all from completely leaking our GBs to the internet.

Yes, this most likely won't stop leaks any time soon, but we want to make sure of the following:
    1. If any GB gets leaked, it might have the first update of the GB only.
    2. If a leak happens, the leaker will be spotted and his information will be shred in a topic for everyone to see.

As I wanted to make sure these tags won't be found and removed by any member, I've asked the staff to give me a GB that has a tag (all recent GBs have tags.).
I failed to find it by myself.

They've even sent me a file that has a tag, then guided me when exactly the tag will show up in the video, and couldn't find it too. I couldn't find the tag by myself in all type of files as much as I tried.

Why I'm telling you all of this?
It's simply to tell you that we haven't missed a single leaker lately and we want to make sure that everyone is aware of what's going to happen if we caught one.

You'll see the leakers details soon.

What does this mean for everyone?
    1. These GBs are meant to be for you. Don't give them to anyone else. Period
    2. We are doing everything possible to make this a better community for everyone. As we've noticed that many authors don't mind having GBs for their courses (as we haven't been receiving Shutdown Requests as before), I'm sure they don't like their courses to be leaked.
    3. If we fail to stop leakers, I think GI must be closed and we're going to close it ourselves.
    4. Soon enough, this process will be more efficient and updates are going to be sent out faster.
    5. This also has dramatically helped us gather more interested members to our GBs as they no longer can find our GBs offered by some leakers on the web. We are going to make prices even more affordable so everyone can have his own seat in his interested GBs.

    You want to help?
Share with us any course leaked online that belongs to GI. You'll help us get that leaker out of here.

Any Christmas Present from GI this year?

    1. Enzo might have something for everyone.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

    P.S:
Guys, it's not allowed to message staff members. If you want to message a staff members for something important, ask in the forums first.
You might get a warning if you ignore the rules.
I'm here to learn and serve, and you are here to learn. If it's not the case for you or for me, then someone should leave.

Therefore, No excuses are accepted neither from you nor from me.

Do what you can to save and protect GroupInsiders! I don't mind the slight delay so you can tag the files.

furthermore, massive leaking is cutting the branch we are sitting on...if the medical education companies will suffer a dramatic decrease in their income(I am talking more about small and great companies like boards&beyoned, not giants like kaplan) they might stop releasing content in the future...remember that without groupinsiders we are subject to sellers that would charge us hundreds of dollars for courses....I hope that this tagging process will be fulfilled soon so we can get great courses that await us like mksap17,medstudy internal medicine and pediatrics 2016 and so on...and thanks again to patriot and all the other admins who make all of this possible.

    Hi Patriot,

Thanks for sharing and I think it's an important message.

I respect GI also because it does protect the authors and I also from a pure exchange perspective think that once I
got succesful results from someones materials I want to go and buy the program from the author.

Also okay with waiting and if GI can be around because of us waiting a bit extra that is totally okay.

Appreciate your work and what you all do I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into this.

    Thank you and Merry Xmas.

GI is a great resource and the short delay in receiving updates is totally acceptable, given the savings in the price of courses. Thanks for all the hard work put in by the staffers...it is appreciated!

I remember the bad old days before we had personal computers - and WAY before the Internet existed. Information on all sorts of subjects had be to be found in badly recopied photocopies, but you know what? We were grateful for whatever we could get hold of. And I'm grateful now to Pat and Enzo and the team because we get access to some amazing high quality information. And for those who are too impatient to wait, I suggest they consider what it used to be like for people like me (i.e. OLD people) and get a sense of perspective.
On the subject of the leakers, I fully support the staff's efforts to get this under control - and it seems to me that the staff are winning.
    Thanks, team. You're the best.

I for one greatly appreciate all the hard work that is put into this community. I've learned enough from the GBs I've been involved in to launch my own business. And while I'm not there yet, I've always maintained that once my income picks up to the point where I actually have "disposable income" I will buy any courses, directly from the author, that I found to be of good value here on GI.

Totally on your side, have been a member of FUB and GI for a number of years now. I have benefited a millions times from the GB's. Do what is best for the community. Thank you for updating us on this. I know we get a little impatient to devour the material but it's OK I guess

No one likes delays getting something they paid for and I am no different. However, I appreciate the mod's effort's to safeguard the developer's intellectual property from being blatantly ripped off. As far as I am concerned, group buying is not ripping off the course creator because every GB participant contributed to the purchase. And for damn sure, if not for the ability to group buy, there are some courses beyond my ability to purchase directly. There are many worthwhile courses I have decided not to run a GB, deciding to buy directly because I know there are course leakers on this platform who resells them for profit and "reps", on BH forums, etc.

So the situation being what it is, I support the necessary delivery delays. I am up to my eyeballs implementing stuff from prior GBs anyway, so the delays aren't a huge burden.

Thanks for the explanation, Pat. I agree 100% with the effort to weed out leakers. I feel privileged to be part of this community of like-minded people and leakers jeopardizes what we have and what we stand for. Let us know how we can help... Merry Christmas!

Hi there. I think you guys run a great site.

One thing that puzzles me is why things are made a bit too hard. For example we get links to updates via Private messages and then say to use the right access code - and yet have that code elsewhere.

Also, am I the only one who gets fed up with random (or more strongly - useless) notifications such as 'I've paid'.

English is my first language and even I struggle at times with the convoluted instructions. I have a commercial /law background and you guys really do make things awkward. A picture really is worth a thousand words -so why not screenshots to show us exactly what to do.

A little common sense at times would help. If we go from week 5 to week 7 as week 6 is a 'rest week' - then a simple note would really help to explain that. Five minutes at the sharp end might save countless two minutes at the back end.

I say this because I want to help you guys out.

As others have suggested, maybe it is time to spread the workload.

To re-iterate, it is a great site. And I offer suggestions to reduce the back end hassle - and I'm sure is hassle - that detracts from providing the great materials that we all love.

    Thanks

Hi there. I think you guys run a great site.

One thing that puzzles me is why things are made a bit too hard. For example we get links to updates via Private messages and then say to use the right access code - and yet have that code elsewhere.
This code should be for that particular GB on the GB links section. Private message updates has been linked to the particular account you are holding. In this case your username. That makes that part of GB(from your inbox) unique to you hence private.

Also, am I the only one who gets fed up with random (or more strongly - useless) notifications such as 'I've paid'.
That lets members how the GB is doing. Sometimes you have paid but something within the system isn't working. This is the part where the admin checks the number claiming to have paid and the number at the back end.

English is my first language and even I struggle at times with the convoluted instructions. I have a commercial /law background and you guys really do make things awkward. A picture really is worth a thousand words -so why not screenshots to show us exactly what to do.
This is the uniqueness of the site. With time you will know your way round. We members will head you the right way whenever something sounds vague. English is my first language but even I isn't perfect in it - "you see"

A little common sense at times would help. If we go from week 5 to week 7 as week 6 is a 'rest week' - then a simple note would really help to explain that. Five minutes at the sharp end might save countless two minutes at the back end.
Not many authors have a week 6 without a course running, but some courses are unique. This is the first time I see this too.

I say this because I want to help you guys out.
    Cheers!!

As others have suggested, maybe it is time to spread the workload.
Thanks, we can count on you to lend a hand

To re-iterate, it is a great site. And I offer suggestions to reduce the back end hassle - and I'm sure is hassle - that detracts from providing the great materials that we all love.
That is the price we pay for buying high priced products. We wait longer in the queue

    Thanks
You are welcome and Happy, Prosperous 2016 to everyone

Thank you Patriot, Enzo and all the other staff for running FUB, GI & OSE. I have not noticed any delay in getting updates. I trust you all to get them out whenever you can. I have never had any complaints about FUB, GI & OSE and I am very thankful I stumbled across over 4 years ago.

I'm completely self-taught with no background in programming. I know I am slow on understanding exactly how things work behind the scenes, but in spite of this I am extremely thankful for your patience with my questions over the years.

    Merry Christmas Everyone !!
